Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational presented by Jarden Home Brands is pleased to offer a $1500 college scholarship sponsored by USA Funds, to one junior or senior male or female athlete who competes at Circle of Stars, February 22-24, 2008. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must submit the following requirement by December 31, 2007:

  1. -A completed Circle of Stars Scholarship Application

  2. -An official high school transcript showing a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a scale of 4.0

  3. -Two adult references (at least one from a teacher)

  4. -A typed essay of 750 words or less on how gymnastics has assisted you in your growth, development, and education during your years of participation in the sport. It should also include a statement of how this scholarship will assist you financially with your post-secondary education.

The scholarship award will be paid by USA Funds directly to the college/university on or around 8/01/2008 for seniors or 8/1/2009 for juniors.


The winner will be chosen by an outside panel of judges with no affiliation to the Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational presented by jarden home brands or the host gym, DeVeau’s School of Gymnastics or its related Booster Club.

An applicant is not required to participate in college gymnastics to be eligible.


The Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational presented by Jarden Home Brands Scholarship was designed for the purpose of “giving something back to the gymnastics community for the time and efforts put forth in the sport of gymnastics while maintaining scholastic excellence. Remember, all applications AND required materials must be received no later than December 31, 2007. Prior winners of the Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational scholarship are not eligible.
