Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational Circle of Stars 2012 Wraps Up Indianapolis – The Annual Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational for women took place Jan. 20-22 at the JW Marriott and the Marriott hotels. More than 3,000 female gymnasts from around the country participated in this year’s event. There were 106 gymnastics clubs representing 14 states in 39 gymnastics sessions held throughout the weekend in Levels 3-10. Several cash awards were given to gymnastics clubs. Below is a list of the winning clubs: Level 4, 5, 6 combined Earned $500 Level 7-8 combined Earned $750 Level 9 Earned $1,000 Level 10 Earned $1500 Circle of Stars also awarded Kelsey Thomas of Euro Stars in Plymouth, Mich., a scholarship for $1500. Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational, working with USA Gymnastics the national governing body of the sport, selected the top scoring junior and senior from all of the Level 10 sessions to advance to the Nastia Liukin Cup in New York City, March 2. Congratulations to Alexis Cappalli of IGI in Westmont, Ill., who advanced in the senior division, and to Sydney McGlone of Universal Gymnastics in Hilliard, Ohio, who advanced in the junior division. Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational is a three-day premier amateur gymnastics competition, which has ranked among the top two largest gymnastics competitions in the United States in previous years. This event will host four exhibit halls of simultaneous competition throughout the weekend. The annual event is hosted by DeVeau’s Gymnastics Booster Club in Fishers, Ind. The Men’s Circle of Stars for Levels 4-10 will take place Feb. 11-12 at the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville, Ind. For the men’s Circle of Stars, more than 500 gymnasts are expected to participate (ages 6-18). Next year’s Circle of Stars will take place Jan. 11-13, 2013 at the Indianapolis Convention Center.
Welcome to Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational. We are excited again to host this great event. In 2012, Indianapolis is the host of Super Bowl XLVI. The city is gearing up for this world watched event. With this, Circle of Stars will host two Events to enable the best experience for our gymnasts, teams, and spectators. On January 20-22 in downtown Indianapolis, the Girls Circle of Stars meet will occur. On February 11 and February 12, the Boys Circle of Stars meet will take place in Noblesville, Indiana just north of Indianapolis The deadline for applying for the Circle of Stars 2012 Scholarship has been extended two weeks.
